This family was one of my first photo sessions when I decided to start doing photography.  I am so excited they came back and requested family photos this year.  The kids have grown and Mom looks more beautiful than ever.  I love the song she selected.  Enjoy!!

I love and adore this sweet family!!  These kids lost their Daddy much too soon.  This amazing Mama does it all alone and with such dignity, grace and love.  I am very honored to have been able to take these photos for them...but even more honored by the fact that she calls me 'friend'.

Home on Leave - Oct 2011

I looked forward to this session for weeks after scheduling it.  This soldier is stationed in the Middle East (intentionally vague per their request) and was able to come home on leave for 15 days, so his wife planned a photo session with me.  I was so honored to be a part of this special time for them and took capturing it very seriously.  I prayed a lot about this day asking for guidance in what I shot because I knew how important this was to them.  He would be back overseas by the time I got the photos edited and the slideshow together for them, which made it extra emotional when the time came to share them.  Sharing below a few of my favorite photos and the video I made for her to have to relive the day.

Maternity Session October 2011

Such a gorgeous pregnancy here!!!  How is it that some people escape without a single stretch mark...pure beauty.  Such a fun couple - lucky little baby coming soon.

 My entry into the I Heart Faces Photo Challenge for this week.The theme is HEARTS!!!  HeartStories Photography really should have many many many photos to choose from on this theme...but just starting out so building my portfolio is in progress.  I had a few to choose from and hope to have many more with HEARTS in them to go along with my HeartStories name.  Here is the one I selected to share with this challenge this time... 

Baby Jaxon has made his arrival now and his Daddy is still as excited as he was here.  Except now he isn't appearing in as many photos because he is the photographer shooting candids to keep family and friends updated on baby's activities and growth!!

A New View on Life

I was so excited to purchase a new photo zoom lens this past fall.  Here are a few photos I took with it as I explored new views it made available.  It's great to get a new perspective from time to time :)
